  19. Although my KTFC scripts have been developed
  20. with MS-DOS Kermit they should eventually work
  21. with Kermit 95 and C-Kermit, subject to
  22. translation of the end-of-line notation from
  23. <cr><lf> to <lf>.

  25. This question is better dealt with now rather
  26. than later.

  28. I would like recommendations on script file name
  29. conventions and whether separate script sets are
  30. necessary for C-Kermit, K 95 and MS-DOS Kermit.

  32. Separate DOS and Unix script sets can be
  33. maintained with upper case names for DOS and lc
  34. for Unix but maintenance of multiple concurrent
  35. variations is time consuming as you know too
  36. well.

  38. The 8.3 limitation of DOS file names is easy to
  39. live with but all upper case is ugly and
  40. bothersome to type in Unix.  Commonly in Unix,
  41. file names are all lower case and DOS tolerates
  42. that.  There is also the nice Pascal convention
  43. of capitalizing the first letter of each word.
  44.  
  45. If a single script set is acceptable, what is
  46. the recommended pattern for file names?
